Don't take this the wrong way, kvm, but I've got a hunch that we as girls have a bit of a better understanding of the female psych... ;) But of course everyone is entitled to their own opinion.

Or women just don't like to admit this...haha
Most girls don't get along with other girls--especially behind their backs. Cooke's just honest
I get along with other girls very well, and I know I'm no exception. Like others have said, only catty women don't get along with women.
And I don't even believe Cooke actually doesn't get along with girls, she just said that because she wanted to be the cliché guy's girl, but it didn't end up working out for her.

Yes!!! And many men fall for it. So some women realize this and continue to go around badmouthing each other in the hopes that that somehow that sets them apart as a down-to-earth girl who can drink a beer with the guys. In reality, a girl who can't get along with 50% of the world population is not only rare, but she must have some kind of real social interaction problem that should be an embarrassment rather than a point of pride! :P
Unfortunately, those few perpetuate the myth that the majority of us hate each other. :(
General thoughts on the episode: Knight's jealous, Leroy's moved on, Jemmye was joking around with Cooke, and Diem's sense of entitlement has more than run its course (I'm referring to her consistent response across Challenge history on being voted in or possibly voted in here). Gotta dig Jasmine's hair, Nany looks hotter and hotter, and TJ never fooled me with that elimination. It was not only connected wrong but historically in gender division style Challenges if the gender due to be up next for elimination has someone (in a singles situation) or a partnership leave, the remaining competitors of that gender get a bye.
As to Diem's cancer, I do feel for her. I can only imagine her pain but I also have a feeling she is out to enjoy life for as long as she has the time. However, given her history of her sense of entitlement on the Challenges, I cannot support her on this Challenge. I do fully support her fighting cancer though.
My father has fought off cancer 6 times and is almost at the neutralization point on the cancer along his spine. In fact, he has reached a good enough point that his doctor cleared him to head to Coronado Island for a month vacation from the chemo.
Last thought, it's on the title of the episode. Mortuus/equus/phobia = fear of the bloody death of horses (roughly translated from Latin).
Oh come on! What's she going to say? "Yes, Nany, I'm very petty and jealous and made up some stupid rap song about you because I don't like you dancing with CT." lol. Who would admit to that? If I were her, I'd lie about it, too. I'm not saying it's right but I can see why she lied about it. She probably didn't want to have to deal with the confrontation.
I know Diem is not Miss Innocent, but neither are most of these Challenge girls. So yes, Diem is a flawed person, but so are the other cast members.
I almost feel like sometimes, because she has cancer, people put her on a pedestal as this poor perfect victim, so they are overly-shocked when she does things that are petty and yes...human! So what?
She is who she is. There are girls on that show that are much meaner and much more manipulative who don't get this much hate.
Diem annoyed me this entire episode. It just bothers me so much that she is always saying that she is so over Ct and doesn't want anything to do with him. But then she gets when he dances with chicks at the club. I mean girl you have made it SO clear to everyone that you don't want him so why cant he flirt?? Is he supposed to sit there and show you all the attention when you ignore him??? Girl get the **** over yourself. She always complains things are unfair, she's the one who is not fair. I'm really turned off by this.
Im also degusted to find out that she lied. She said that she did not make up a rap about Nany at the club and at first I wanted to believe her because Jemmye had no proof and Jemmye claimed she was the only one to hear it so that was king of suspicious. But then Jasmine and Cara Maria did a spreecast interview and they both said that Diem admitted to it off camera. Then Jasmine said that Diem was bitter about Ct flirting with other females. ***! So she told the truth when the cameras were not rolling but lied on television to keep her "Good girl" image. And tried to use that lame *** excuse that she is not a rapper. Girl, BYE!
I hate that she tries to be innocent. We are all human and no one is innocent. I just wish she would stop with the excuses and lies. Maybe people would like her more if she would just own her **** because right now she is just on my last nerves.
but then again, she was talking hormone replacement medication so maybe that is the sole reason for her actions this episode... ?
And given that her problems are much bigger than the rest of the cast, her sense of entitlement is understandable. She feels she needs and deserves the money more because she's facing a life-threatening illness, whereas no one else in the cast is. Given that she's spent much of her 20's facing a life-threatening disease that most people don't deal with until their 50's and 60's (if at all), one could argue she's been dealt a pretty unfair hand in life. So yes, it's not surprising that she'd be more sensitive to things not going her way because SO MUCH already hasn't gone her way in life.
What I think is unfair is expecting someone whose battling a life-threatening illness at such a young age to view life and react to things as a normal person in their 20's would. She's not going to react to things the same way because her circumstances are different and she's got a lot more at stake.
Just saying. and Diem is by no means my favorite, by the way. But I understand where she's coming from and so her attitude doesn't bother me.

All the money that Diem has won on recent challenges has gone into MedGift.
There is also an off-TV, real-life relationship between Diem and Nany that is solid. I'm hopeful that we may soon have some either direct or indirect confirmation from Nany in that regard.

I would expect someone that has battled through everything the way she has to understand nothing is given and you have to fight. Diem's not a bad person...I just don't respect her at times in the game. That's all

If she didn't want to deal with the confrontation she never should've wrote the **** thing in the first place.Don't cause trouble for yourself.
I think we should agree to disagree and say that both Diem and Nany have been annoying this season.
Actually, let's just say that all of the female teams are annoying

Seriously, I only watch for the guys, thats real competition. The girls are so lopsided. And I thought rivals 1 girls were lopsided.

At least Rivals 1 had two good teams. If they would have paired say Laurel with Paula and Emily with someone else (I guess they could justify Cara Maria) then you'd have two good teams. This has been a joke and will probably continue to be a joke.

Given the ratings, I'm sure MTV is thinking that the viewers have bought into their BS rival pairs and simply laughs at the criticism of any caustic commentary from people who are going to watch anyway.

Not really. On The Ruins Shauvon quit and there was still a female elimination round in the same episode. Same with Tonya. She was DQ'd and Sarah beat Katie later that episode.
And the phobia is the fear of ketchup.
And the phobia is the fear of ketchup.
I know it is ketchup but the breakdown of the word and where it comes from is what I was spelling out which I was translating it from Latin.
I wonder where they got ketchup from. Also, I agree with you on the Latin but don't see the word for blood in there.
Okay, I double checked it online. Fear of horses certainly is part of it but the Mortuus was throwing me because I know "Mort" or "Mortu" is death. Here's the rest: Etymology from Australian rhyming slang "dead horse" for red sauce, aka ketchup. In other words, it is not an exact translation but partially based off of the Australian slang. Not something I could have counted on in my brief breakdown.
One random thing that annoyed me is that Cara and Cooke didn't do the wave for TJ and I'm glad he called them out. I know we, and probably the cast, have a lot of varying opinions of TJ but it was a funny little harmless thing that the cast was just doing as a joke. TJ had nothing to do with them going in, just stand up and do it.
I've really soured on Cara the last couple seasons after really liking her from FM2-Rivals 1...she comes across as very petulant to me and if I were TJ I would've told them to shut the **** up when they were doing that little "oh thank God we're going in" thing after they got voted in.
Seriously, I only watch for the guys, thats real competition. The girls are so lopsided. And I thought rivals 1 girls were lopsided.
So much this.
They really need to do a Duel 3. We want more competition. Not no lightsaber fight.
Cara believes in thinking for herself. As for them not standing up, I don't think that was a slight specifically against TJ but more against the rest of the cast because they knew they were most likely going in no matter what.

Thank you for that! I love etymology, and it's always cool to hear things that rhyme in another accent but don't necessarily rhyme to you. Hehe. That Australian rhyming slang seems a lot like the Cockney rhyming slang. I had a really difficult time the other day explaining to my mom and my best friend why "apples and pears" meant "stairs". :P

explain that to me lol
Okay, well, trying to quote myself from the other day: "You know, that thing where the British, or maybe it was just the English, I don't know, used to have this rhyming system for certain words, like instead of saying "the stairs" they'd say something like 'the ole apples and pairs!' " *Blank stares* "You've never heard of that?" *Tries to think of other examples, fails* "I'm just saying, it's a real thing. Can't believe you haven't heard of it. ****."
Did I sufficiently explain it to you? :P

sufficiently explained what the situation of explaining it to me would be lol.
Apparently Cara and Cooke were ****** at the vote because they tried to volunteer themselves instead of being voted in, but TJ wouldn't let them. They knew they were going in regardless and didnt want to bother with the vote, but they had to suffer through it anyway. I'd be ****** too!
Not sure, but can anyone be voted in, including the winners for the challenge? Because IF SO, I suggest Cara/Cooke step it up and win a challenge- then they don't gotta worry about being voted in.
Sorry-I can't STAND Cooke AT ALL lol and I love Cara Maria, but she has really gotta quit Boo Hooing all over Twitter and Podcasts- ITS A FLIPPIN GAME
