Yeah. A lot of people on here now care only about the competition and don't like the all of the Drama. If it were up to them the Drama and house interactions would be out of the show completely.
We can keep the fun house interactions but the drunken fabricated drama is getting old.
I like when the house drama is compelling and the characters are interesting but I primarily watch for the competition. If I wanted to just see the house stuff I would watch pretty much any other reality show out there (and aside from a few episodes here or there of some other stuff I'm pretty sure I've never watched a full season of another reality show). Competition + the fact that they repeat cast members and it actually lets you get invested in rooting for specific people is what brings me to the show.
The only FM1 people they shouldn't have brought back were Johnnie and Eric.
The only FM2 people they shouldn't have brought back were Carley, Luke, Sydney, Brandon, and Vinny.

Out of curiosity....why just those people?
Why not someone like Aviv? Just confused not saying your opinion is wrong but why those people.
I hope this is a popular opinion. Just heard about this and they are losing a long time viewer. I've started watching since Extreme Challenge and never missed an episode. Unfortunately it looks like I am going to miss a season.
Those were the only people I didn't like / care for or rubbed me the wrong way with how they acted. I wanted Aviv to come back; she's so much smarter than some of the dumb idiots that are cast nowadays.
I seriously hate when fans of a show decide to not watch a season just cause things aren't going how they want them to, its really childish IMO.
I don't mind if a season isn't going my way. If they have a horrible cast, or a bad format, I will watch.I didn't like the fact they were going to have a FM2 but I watched.FM became part of the Challenge franchise. I am invested in the people who were on the Real World, Road Rules and FM, who knew it would possibly lead to challenges.
I'm not interested in people, from what I understand, are already part of another MTV show franchise. I don't watch MTV except for The Real World and the Challenges. I also don't think it's right that 2 couples, who have nothing to do with the show, are taking the place of people from the franchise who actually wanted to participate.
That's my opinion whether is popular or not, it's my opinion.

Thank you Challenger 17 and DA! I just don't really want to have a debate and have people jump down my throat. Just wanted some people to know, especially the person who called me childish, my opinion. Whether they agree or disagree. I get that they are trying to spice it up and add viewers, but the way they are going about it is not appropriate for many reasons.

I understand what you're saying. Personally, I don't mind the Are You The One people, but what I don't like is that people from the franchise who are interested get ignored for them. I would have loved seeing Trey/Laura, Darrell/Rachel, Eric/Sahar and Abram/Coral.

That's what bothers me more than anything. Other castmembers getting ignored just to bring on other people from a show that's probably not going to have any real longevitity. It's just not right to me.

I really don't know. Trey/Laura wanted to do it, Eric/Sahar no idea, I think both Darrell/Rachel want to come back, but I have no idea if they even asked them. I know Abram wants to do one without Cara Maria there, so this would have been ideal, though I think Coral is done.
1) Golden Age (Battle of the Seasons - Gauntlet 2) - 'nuff said
2) Pre-golden Age (RR All Stars, Aqua Games & Boston v.s Islands - Extreme Challenge) - I personally loved this era, probably the "realest" era out of all of them
3) Rookie Era (Exes? - Exes 2) - The rookies are making names for themselves, would love if they would challenge the status quo more but still leagues better than the last one

Worst of the Worst ---->JEK Era (Fresh Meat - Rivals) - The start of a terrible decline that the new era now has to fix in order for show not to be canned. Awful challenges (except Cutthroat), awful new castmembers for the most part, the start of the super-repetitiveness of the challenges, the Fresh Meat (especially the first group), Camila, etc. just all around trash.

I think Eric & Sahar were speculated to be locks up until the very last minute. Still bitter about not having them on there!

I agree with this so much. The first two eras of this show were the best of this series. Fun Competitive vibe, Cool/Unique Missions, Drama that was fun and exctiting to watch. Good Themes and Formats, Memorable Moments..It had it all.
And Kudos to you Putting the JEK Era down at the bottom. That Era was the worst. Most of the the challenges during that era weren't that good. It left a really shitty, Bloody, Piss-soaked Mess that the Era of the New Schoolers has to clean up. It's been cleaning up well but some of the crap still remains(The J in JEK, The Non-Castmembers, etc).

Yeah. I really wanted them on the next challenge but it didn't happen. It really sucks.

Battle of the Sexes 2 was the weakest season of The Golden-Era. However, I think this challenge showcased the fun the cast would have on these things moreso than any challenge up to that point. It also had alot of Funny Moments.
Also This challenge was better than most of the Post-Fresh Meat 1 Seasons.
Despite it's Mediocrity Fresh Meat 2 is one of the Most Strategic Seasons of this show.
Golden Age: this is hard as shit lmaooo but I would give it to either BOTSexes or the Inferno
Pre-Golden Age: Challenge 2000
Rookie Era: Battle of the Seasons 2
JEK Era: Cutthroat
Another unpopular opinion but this show would do well to start copying from CBS shows. Have more 3-team themes & make a 4-team challenge, bring back the lifeshields (unrelated to Survivor), have something similar to the Golden Power of Veto, & have some type of casting balance. While those shows have their own issues with terrible casting they always at least have a couple older and/or normal people on there. Translating this to the Challenge of course = people from the first two eras who still want to come on & people from newer seasons who have yet to get a chance.

I honestly doubt they accepted, but it would have been great watching them. I was so excited for this season while we were speculating, but now I'm disappointed there's no Robb/Marie, Trey/Laura, Brian/Jenny, Eric/Sahara or some old schoolers like Darrell, Rachel, Abram, Beth, etc.

I've said this is the past, the JKE era was a blessing and a curse to the franchise. They were good for the show to progress, they have a fanbase now and it was a nice start for the franchise to move on to a new age but the introduction was just executed poorly. Like, you don't have to replace a group of people just to introduce a new breed... and that cycle seems to be ongoing now that Bananas is basically the last one holding on and all of JKE era people are done.
I seriously hate when fans of a show decide to not watch a season just cause things aren't going how they want them to, its really childish IMO.
I don't think it's childish. You can be a fan but only watch for certian people. Once they leave, why would you want to continue to watch if you don't like anybody else and could be be wasting time watching something better? That doesn't make sense.... IMO.
I actually love JEK and the JEK era. Johnny Bananas and Wes are my two top favortie competitors of all time. Diem and CT's love storyline is so annoying and obnoxious in my opinion. I also think CT is overrated.
