Really? I don't really explore this site much anymore but, from what I remember, everyone was in love with the more dramatic cast members. Maybe things have changed since then but it seems(ed) that people like the ones who are "real" or "don't take **** from no one".
Yeah. A lot of people on here now care only about the competition and don't like the all of the Drama. If it were up to them the Drama and house interactions would be out of the show completely.

You know I always thought they should've done the Rivals format during the Real World/Road Rules years. We could've had pairls like Coral/Julie Katie/Veronica, Aneesa/Ayanna..It would've been epic on the girls side. With the guys I think that they would have to strech and/or think outside the box since there wasn't alot of male fights in those years.

I think you're talking more about Rivals 1. That was similar to Fresh Meat in that every pair that didn' win got a vote(Except for the team that got last place and automatically go to the Jungle). Rivals 2 was different. Only Girls Pairs and vote on Guy Jungle days and Guy Pairs vote on Girl Jungle days.
OOOOOOOOOOH I totally forgot about girls voting guys, guys voting girls. Yeah I know what you mean, at first it seemed like a cool twist but it ended up failing. Especially because the girls wouldn't vote strong guys teams and the guys wouldn't vote strong girl teams because they didn't want to be targeted by them and get voted in. If they switched it around and only did same-gender voting it would've been much more intense.
I don't think Nia is this bad *** ***** that she tries to portray herself as on twitter and interviews. I think in reality her personality is more chill, carefree and refined.

Eh. Quitting is not a big deal and being a bad competitor doesn't warrant hate IMO.
I don't like him because other than those moments + the Laurel thing he was such a non-entity on the show. Up until the whole Gauntlet 3 final you wouldn't even know Eric was there. He was another one that they tried to make "happen". I'm sure they figured everyone would love the fat, jolly dude who's just there to have a good time.
I think David L. from RR Viewers' Revenge would've fit that "stocky competitor" role much better. He was more of a built, football weight lifting stocky while Eric was just fat. They should've retired Eric after The Duel IMO

yeah, he shows up every single Challenge, talks about how he lost 35 pounds, is getting healthier, stronger and more fit. Then he does even worse than the last time and the worst thing is he doesn't even try. Him being less athletic that other castmembers is not the problem, it's his attitude and character. Being athletic doesn't make you automatically entertaining. I have absolutely no problem watching Katie on the Challenge because she at least tries and hilarious and very likeable. There's really nothing about Big Easy that warrants him being good tv. Nothing. He's also reportedly very rude and, worst of all, gets the victim edit when he doesn't deserve one at all (Gauntlet 3 finale, Cutthroat).
