Hopefully, it stays in the Top 10.
Cancun was never in the top 10, so not sure it could stay in the top 10.
Episode 3 ratings: 1.676 million. Source: TVBYTHENUMBERS
Nope, not hostile. I thought someone had said it was top ten overall viewers, which the series has not been in many years.
I am not a huge fan though of the past few years and miss the good seasons.
I read on tvbythenumbers that Real World picked up 1.74 million viewers in Episode 4.
I hope it does better, for the sake of the show in general, but I can't say I'm not surprised.
I wasn't saying that MTV as not showing them I was saying that I haven't been watching MTV. Usually I watch it a lot but I have been at the beach. I did finally catch one last night.
I wonder if MTV's strategy to increase ratings is to cut back on repeats? (I remember when RR:VR ratings were so bad that they cut out repeats altogether.)
MTV has scaled way back in the last week. From now until the new episode, there is only a 3:00AM repeat Monday morning and one right before the new episode airs.
Next week they basically have one repeat and a few replays stashed into zombie hours...
Thurs: 2AM & 7PM
Fri: None
Sat: 9:30AM
Sun: 2:00AM
Mon: 1:30AM
Tues: None
I really do not understand that. While I was on vacation, I would watch MTV at night just to catch a repeat of Episode 4, since I missed it. After 3 days, I finally caught one.
I understand it. But then again I also think it hurts ratings in a sense too. What if someone just happens to catch an interest in the show, but they could never catch an episode to watch.
Wow that's weird, because I was just watching the episode a little while ago and was thinking it seemed like they were showing it more often than usual. Maybe it's just me though.
I think they should show repeats more, because people who might not watch it at 10 on Wednsdays may see a repeat and think "Woah, this is actually good".
This is one of the most dramatic seasons ever so I'm really suprised the ratings aren't amazing. They SHOULD repeat it more to get people who don't tune in religiously to want to.
wow this is shocking to me too, I thought the Real World Cancun was going to get some amazing ratings. I think this season is better than the Real World Brooklyn...the cast is just more entertaining and while being more entertaining some serious issues are being covered...I hope bad ratings isn't inspiration to stop filming the real world but that's probably me being negative.
The ratings for Cancun aren't much different than Brooklyns. Brooklyn had a strong start and fairly strong end. The whole middle of the season was about the same as Cancun.
They are completely different. The Brooklyn premiere brought in ratings gold, and I think broke some record. These ratings have not.
Exactly. I still have hope for Cancun though, its not as bad as Austin, Denver, or Sydney.
TJ, I didn't think I would, but I enjoy Cancun. SUre it would not be that high up there, but it does tackle some issues, and many cast members have proven maturity.
