I feel old now. They are going back to a season that I actually watched the original of when it aired. I'm really hoping this cast is more in depth, the past seasons I feel all they really discuss are who can sleep with who for an entire hour. I would like to see more casted like Frankie who opened her life up to MTV about her illness, and Paula who MTV took to therapy, and Pedro, the show is starting to get less real, more fantasy. :-( I'm new here by the way, hope to continue in more future discussions, the house looks really nice by the way :-) If they can cast a girl like Jamie this season I'll be really excited!
You feel old? I remember season 1.
You feel old? I remember season 1.
lol :-) Sorry V1man! I wish I could watch season 1, I saw a clip from season 2, and the finale of Miami. They are just as fun to watch, and the characters don't seem to be acting for the camera. It's kinda similar with survivor, the first season's cast just seemed fresher (if not completely confused), but it was interesting how they learned the game. I'd love for them to cast a season that displays kind of a throwback era (I got the term throwback from Pepsi... not sure if I'm using the definition correctly) where they put the cast in a normal house. And tape a truer demographic of people that aren't just looking for fame. I feel "True Life" back in the day could cast this show quite well.
You feel old? I remember season 1.
Can we start calling you V8man? (Not sure even I see the humor in that but couldn't resist the reference) I really don't get how some people have watched all these years. You work in the business so I can see a professional reason. It is just getting too much like a formula for me. I saw where someone on twitter once posted that the RW in-depth casting process isn't about finding unique people so much as it is figuring out how they can manipulate the people that they are plugging into their formula for the season (more or less, couldn't do it in the same 140 characters). Maybe this next season will be different, it may be my last one if it is the same old stuff. To me there is nothing exotic or even interesting about San Diego. I always think of it as a Navy/industrial town--Pittsburgh with a port-- so the editors need to step up their game or I will be out by mid-season.

Oh, my, aren't you ancient! But until you are really old, thanks for your continuing contributions to my military retirement plan, and my not-too-far-distant social security and medicare plans. Until recently, I thought "50+" vitamin and mineral supplements meant that there were over 50 vitamins and minerals in those ugly little pills. Not so... it really is an age thing.

I have read two articles today that state that the cast has yet to move in. Didn't we get confirmation that they did?

I wonder if anyone has asked the cast how pissed they were when they found out that you can't drink on the beach in San Diego anymore?
I wonder if anyone has asked the cast how pissed they were when they found out that you can't drink on the beach in San Diego anymore?
Since I highly doubt any of them are from the area, I doubt they had any idea that you ever could.

Please explain how you think they confirmed there are 7 roommates? There have been seasons with 8 many of time although the majority has 7.
Please explain how you think they confirmed there are 7 roommates? There have been seasons with 8 many of time although the majority has 7.
Read the first paragraph.
Read the first paragraph.
That's only an assumption because the norm is 7. Still the possibility of 8.
That's only an assumption because the norm is 7. Still the possibility of 8.
No it's not. That is the official press release for the show. If MTV says 7 cast members, it's 7 cast members.
No it's not. That is the official press release for the show. If MTV says 7 cast members, it's 7 cast members.
I've seen many of press releases in the past that are misleading. I won't argue with you though.
I've seen many of press releases in the past that are misleading. I won't argue with you though.
If MTV says 7 in their official press release - it will be 7. There might be more than 7 total roommates (depending on how the season progresses) but MTV doesn't as a rule resort to trickery when giving the setup press release for a new season of The Real World (being they are generally behind the eight ball to start and confirming rather than making news.)
Here's a woman named Ace who I found on YouTube a few weeks ago because of searching The Real World on YouTube. Anyway, Ace and her friend Gina went to stalk The Real World San Diego house in hopes on seeing a cast member. Haha I live in SD born and raised, so I'm kinda excited. Wondering if I'll be seeing any of the cast roaming around. Probably not, but I can dream :) It would be hella cool!
I see them all over San Diego and it is fun to vid them, the producers get irked lol
