Very good episode. Pretty stupid to target Crystal for what were probably personal reasons over Kenny who has proven reasonably competent in challenges and strategy (though he's falling apart in that department). But nonetheless, a good move. I can't figure out if Sugar was unsure about Susie/Bob's votes, or if she gave Matty the idol to throw it in Kenny/Crystal's faces. Probably the latter.
I can't figure out if Sugar was unsure about Susie/Bob's votes, or if she gave Matty the idol to throw it in Kenny/Crystal's faces. It was basically a revolt this week and I loved every minute of it I have to admit. Bob has impressed me by getting this far and virtually taking his fate into his own hands with a little help along the way. But Sugar definitely stole the show and she shook up the game while throwing a little spice in at tribal. Kenny continues his downward spiral and it's looking less likely that he will make it but who knows. It still made for a great moment and Matty sure was't complaining.
That was absolutely HUUUUUUUGE! I have been waiting for this episode all season. I am not sure how Bob will fare next tribal if Kenny wins immunity as Sugar giving Matty the hidden idol was in hindsight superfluous. Susie was aboard voting for Crystal, so I am not sure if Sugar played it for dramatic effect (it was very bad ***) or if she did not trust Susie. Either way, the game has changed. The weasel is against the ropes! My hope is that they get rid of Kenny next (although if Kenny wins immunity it will probably be Bob next.) No matter what, Kenny's odds have shrunk dramatically and my faith has been somewhat renewed.
I think the editors help us out here... Sugar knew the votes were there to send Crystal home. Thus, giving Matty her hidden immunity idol was likely a jury move as evidenced buy the cutaway edit to Corrine raising her arms in a cheer. I'm not sure if Sugar's game play is pure dumb luck or innate brilliance, but I'm enjoying it more and more each week.
Sugar is def quite the character! Either way - she's doing all the right things. HOWEVER If Kenny wins immunity next week...I don't see how voting Susie off would be the better option. They have to vote Bob off. If they dont...they're just giving him the million right there. If Sugar and/or Matty take Bob to the finals they are ***KING STUPID. I get why Matty had to align with Bob: he had no choice! But Sugar? She had it in the bag if the final 3 were Kenny, Sugar, and Crystal. (or at least...that was her best shot at winning). Now? Sugar might make it there, but theres 0 chance in hell for her to take it in the end. Kenny could still do this. He's down...but he's not out yet. Another thing - Why wouldn't any of them (all 5 remaining) want Crystal sitting next to them in a final 3? No one, zero jury members, would vote to give Crystal a million dollars. I feel like none of them are thinking about who they can BEAT in the final vote. Arguably, that's the only one that matters. EDIT - Wait. I'm still confused. Why didn't they just get rid of Kenny THIS week? Why Crystal first?? That part doesn't make any sense. Sidebar: go to cbs.com to vote for who should win $100,000 at the live reunion, Sunday
Wait. I'm still confused. Why didn't they just get rid of Kenny THIS week? Why Crystal first?? That part doesn't make any sense.
Bob would not vote off Kenny because he promised him the immunity idol if he was in danger. Bob, unlike most of the characters this season, is a man of his word and would have forced his own exit from the game if Sugar had not hatched Plan B. It had to be Crystal for the plan to work and for Bob to keep his word.
If Kenny wins immunity next week...I don't see how voting Susie off would be the better option. They have to vote Bob off. If they dont...they're just giving him the million right there.
I think Sugar had a quick flash of the edit that was going to greet her this fall on CBS and realized she was with the "bad people" rather than those with some sort of integrity. Yes, taking Crystal (and Susie for that matter) would make her a shoe in for the cash - but when looking at the big picture I am sure she had to consider how much 1 million dollars meant to her verses looking good in the eyes of the fans and feeling good about her experience. She isn't exactly in the same financial situation as Dreamz from Survivor Fiji (being married to a Hollywood producer) and I suspect there is still a chance that she will bring Bob and Matty to the final 3. I assume she wants a career in Hollywood in the long term and if she proves her integrity because she allied in the end with the most deserving (rather than the most deficient) she will come out smelling like roses (but maybe a bit lighter in the wallet.) I did see a sparkle in her eyes which I had not previously seen and I think she made the right decision to rectify her conscience, no matter how it might have negatively effected her game. Sometimes you don't need to win, to win.

To be fair, her husband is mostly an emerging producer with far more credits as a gaffer, grip, electrician, camera operator and just about every other job on any movie set. Not many people work their way up through the business. Some people have confused him with Emmy Award producer/director John Landis.
Hahah Sugar did hand over the idol in spite. She was pissed that Crystal was bullying Matty when he was already down. It was the sweetest revenge! I loved when Jeff said this is in FACT THE REAL immunity Idol! Another thing, I like Matty, But I don't like people who say they are good, or part of the good guys... If it's really true than people will see it, you don't need to say it. usually people who have to see it, aren't really that good! Does Sugar really cry, or is it part of her strategy? She definitely steals the show, but she cries over everything. Telling Bob they are voting for him or realizing she's alligned with the "bad guys" aren't really tear jerkers. But she's playing the game smart, because when they vote Bob out, which they will (because everyone knows they don't stand a chance against him) he can try swaye the jury in Sugars favor. I still enjoy Susie Q :)

'Cuz of her dad issues, I think that (relating back to what Bacchus said) she's definitely there for reasons other than to win a million dollars. Therefore, B's statement that she wants to be at the end with "good" people is probably accurate. Frustrating for me, though, cuz A) i love her and B) would love to see her take away the million. She won't, though. Bummer, man.
Don't forget that the finale comes on tonight! :D I am hoping that Sugar takes this one! (I don't think it will happen)
The third hour may be the most interesting tonight. I've heard that Jeff is not impressed with some of the cast. He usually has a way of making some people feel inferior about their game play.
I have a feeling it is going to be delayed in some markets on the east coast by about 30 minutes because of a football overrun. :(
Man Bob is nothing but skin and bones!~!!! and wow he rocks! WTG ETA: what planet is Ken from??? freakin' moron!
I think that Bob has to win the final immunity to stay in the game. If Susie wins, he is gone. If Matty or Sugar win, there is a small chance they will keep him. I'd love to see a Matty, Sugar, Bob final three. Still, with all the focus on Susie needing to win the challenge, I have a gut feeling she is going to pull it off. My prediction is: If Bob makes it to the final three he wins, otherwise Sugar wins.
Me thinks CBS wants Bob to win this last immunity...come on! :D Not that I'm complaining. ETA: I'm taking that back. I thought he'd be much better at that. I'm saying Matty wins this one. Slow and steady and all that. again ETA: OMG, well, I guess everyone deserves to win. Sucks though. Bob's going to be gone.
Bob is a goner. Sugar should win, but she doesn't have many fans on the jury. Matty actually has a chance, even though he hasn't done squat in weeks.
OK, seriously, is she stupid or just dumb...maybe just tactless.? How can she be going on like that? Yes, Susie, it's you! OMG
Wow, I didn't think she was going to do it. What's with Corrine, man she's b----. Must be sad to be so cynical. ETA: I feel bad for Matty. Sugar is definitely a rare creature in the game of Survivor. She probably didn't have a shot either way, but to do that for somebody. It just amazing.
Yay Bob's going to final 3!
Sugar is my hero! Bob should win this without breaking a sweat, although I bet Randy grills him over the fake idol and Kenny over the not getting the idol as promised.
Corrine - put a sock in it...sheesh. Edit: Kenny & Randy too. They look like idiots.
Corrine - put a sock in it...sheesh. Edit: Kenny & Randy too. They look like idiots.
Yeah they do look like idiots. Especially Kenny, he looked like the biggest idiot.
Yeah they do look like idiots. Especially Kenny, he looked like the biggest idiot.
Kenny's logic is just ridiculous. He wasn't voted out that night. So why does it matter? Well, because Kenny wanted to vote Bob out. I actually feel sorry for him as he doesn't see what a weasel it makes him look like (or doesn't care, which is worse.)
Yes! The good guys win! :D
Yay for Bob! I'm really happy for him! I wonder of he's still gonna teach.
WOOOOOOO! Guess Good guys really do win in the end huh? I couldn't be happier.
I'm kinda surprised how Sugar didn't get a single vote
I think Corinne is playing up the ****h persona in a desperate effort to be cast for All Stars 2.5
I am so bummed (err po'd) right now. There is a storm and my digital cable is out and I had to break away to watch Dexter earlier and when I tuned into Calgary/Edmonton...I get that stupid digital scramble and now nothing :( I'm happy for Bob. I just wanted to see it. Did they all vote for him?
It was 4-3-0. Kenny, Crystal and Matty voted for Susie. He also won the $100K fan prize
