The Real World San Diego: La Jolla (2011)

Back to San Diego The Real World: San Diego - Pacific Beach is the twenty-sixth season of MTV's reality television series The Real World. Check out the house here.

Nice house- but I wish they were doing another city. How about Miami, Phoenix, or somewhere in Texas, like Houston or Dallas? As per your request Molds, I've placed my angry remarks here and not in the other thread. :)
I know this is probably WAY too early to be asking this, but does anyone have a guess to when the cast will be moving in, and when the season will start?

I love that they're coming back to my state California. Although, I really wish they would have done RW Beverly Hills.
I'm actually glad they are doing another "Back to.." season. The past 2 have had high ratings so hopefully this one will too!
I really like San Diego, so I'm okay with them going back. I just hope the cast is really diverse.I guess will see a new location when the ratings get back to where they were.
This location literally caught me by surprised, somehow I thought Miami was going to be the next location.
Seriously, I love myself some San Diego and all....but Real World Nashville, anyone??

I'm not surprised it's another "Back To..." season. The format has been working for them ratings wise, so why not? Although, I would have preferred if it was Denver or Key West.

Seems like BMP is going back to their most popular original locations (ratings wise).
oh wow, awesome news! TY so much for the info., molds! Here's to hoping that they go back to Hawaii for the 27th season ;)
I want them to come to Tennessee haha!!
Wasn't Chicago one of the top rated for them?

Interesting. Can't say I'm surprised.

San Diego's original season was one of my favorites! However, I'm with you Buck... Let's see a Nashville season!! :)
They renewed the Real World for 2 more seasons after this rite? Do you guys think they will ever go to a new city?
They renewed the Real World for 2 more seasons after this rite? Do you guys think they will ever go to a new city?
My speculation is that they will go back to the most popular seasons' cities (Chicago, Seattle, etc) to get the ratings they want until the contract is up, and hopefully renew it if the ratings are good enough and then start taking some risks with location and cast. Purely speculation though.
Maybe Philly will be next :D
I don't know, we gave them hell last time they were here.
They renewed the Real World for 2 more seasons after this rite?
I don't know, we gave them hell last time they were here.
I think they get hell wherever they go.
If they get a stellar cast, I don't think the city matters much. Still would like to see my Hometown Atlanta. But, I just be happy my fav show is still on the air.
Why could they not go to Nashville?
Step 1: click on link. Step 2: read article. Step 3: come across this paragraph:
I asked show’s creator Jon Murray about this, and he said that “Vegas, L.A., maybe San Diego, Miami, New York — these are the cities that young people dream about living in. … The show has always had a fantasy appeal to it.”
Step 4: realize that Jon Murray does not find living in Nashville to be a "fantasy" city and that young people do not dream about living there, regardless of the name of the show being called The REAL World.
I don't really know many people dreaming of living in San Diego...
I don't really know many people dreaming of living in San Diego...
I think that is a bit disingenuous. Not to mention the fact that we are not talking about a studio apartment in some shady part of downtown San Diego, but rather a modern mansion in a beautiful spot on the pacific ocean with breathtaking views. You now know one person dreaming of living in San Diego.
ikr salt&vinegar lol... fantasy cities are definitely New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Hawaii... (and they have already done three of those... so Miami and Hawaii should have a "back to" season if they continue the trend) But what about the fantasy places outside of the states?? They need to travel abroad again... Cancun didn't do well because its not something new... everyone's either been there or watched it all during spring break...how about somewhere more diverse/cultural?? Cape Town or Amsterdam anyone? Hell, I'm sure Tokyo, Rome, and Toronto would be awesome... They got their ratings back up, so after San Diego, they need to choose a completely new location (test out the waters since they already have two confirmed seasons after this one).

For example, The Duel 2 had a great house, but it sure as hell didn't make me want to move to New Zeland. I don't mind them going to San Diego, it worked amazingly the first time! If the cast is right, the location really shouldn't matter. My point was, when I think of "dream cities" San Diego never comes to mind. I have never come across anyone who's said "if I could go anywhere in the US, I'd go to San Diego!".
