I really didn't like tonight's episode. It felt staged and just over produced.

Poor Demi, she is such a good judge I think she would have been great on The Voice or even on Idol. She's stuck on this reject show with Britney who does nothing but make faces like she just smelled a ****. Does the skinny Randy Jackson even speak? And Simon.....people are just over it now.

Demi is the only redeeming quality on that show. She deserves better than the reject singing competition.
I really didn't like tonight's episode. It felt staged and just over produced.
Every episode I've seen of this show feels like this to me.
Demi is the only redeeming quality on that show. She deserves better than the reject singing competition.
How is it reject competition when it has better singers? And doesn't cater to the white demographic like say Idol/The Voice is doing.
lol these pairings are messy! Roommate vs roommate, siblings, cousins. The talent so far is far better than the record company rejects on The Voice.
Every episode I've seen of this show feels like this to me.
Word. Show is so much faker than last season. And much more choreographed than Voice & AI. Reeks of Simon.
Every episode I've seen of this show feels like this to me.
Yeah that's true, but this time it was extremely done up.
I watched the first episode hoping to just watch another reality TV music competion, one that would accompany The Voice. But it didn't take long for me to see how hilariously staged and exaggerated the show has become. It's both pathetic and very funny. So, now I watch to see how the producers create these scenarios and bend "reality" Even if you didn't know the people who eventually moved on in the competition through spoilers and whatnot, you could easily tell by how much time to show spends on them. Everyone is a character. It's funny how Paige and CeCe are the main characters on this show with the rivalry the producers are pushing and the CeCe=Villain thing going on. It'll be fun to see how viewers react to all this as the episodes continue. All in all, when it comes to how staged the show is, I'll take it for what it is. But I probably won't look at The X Factor as a real reality TV Music Competition show. We've got The Voice for that.

Like what respectable, sensible person says that about singing competitions?
What does the two statements even mean? The show IS NOT STAGED. Like what respectable, sensible person says that about singing competitions?
Fair enough. The show isn't exactly staged, but it's definitely done up. Here are some examples I remember: - Kaci Newton and her friend were the "mean girls" to Paige, with all of their conversations to each other being recorded and filmed. And of course Paige does well and Kaci fails horribly, making the audience root for Paige. - A similar thing happened with Emblem 3, the non-boy-band and Vincent Thomas, the guy from a boy-band. - Johnny Maxwell had a filmed and recorded conversation inside of a car with his mom. - CeCe Frey kind of "did up" herself, honestly - Owen Stuart going on and on and on about his girlfriend, his phone conversations recorded. - Austin Corini had these fangirls that just felt so unreal. It was all filmed and those girls were later shown in the audience. - And, like I said, Boot Camp was Paige vs. CeCe. I understand that they're trying to put a big focus on the contestants, because that was an issue with the last season, but I don't like how they're going about it. It all feels very unnatural. I am interested to see how the live shows play out, because none of the cast members can be made into characters at that point.
Lol I guess Im the only one that actually enjoyed the show,I agree its stage but I find it entertainment. Im def rooting for paige, carly and vino
Lol I guess Im the only one that actually enjoyed the show,I agree its stage but I find it entertainment. Some stuff seems a little forced, but that'll all go away when the live shows start, which is when the show actually gets good.
You're totally right. Cece is definetly the bad girl but she sabotaged the other girl with that song choice I'll be the first one to admit that. I'm glad Aaron Fray from last season is back.
Lyric 145 are going to be huge, I can feel it. LYRIC 145 Party In The USA - THE X FACTOR USA - YouTube
Lyric 145 and Lylas surprised me. Those new groups (excluding the laughable Playback) were actually really great. I liked that they seemed to have chemistry (which Playback lacked). Also, I think that the Overs are gonna be gone one by one in the live shows. Highlighting all the negativity LA felt about them will only make feel the audience feel the same way.

I don't feel like they were performing together, you could definitely tell they had just been put together. There were a few others that I was more impressed by. I really liked Lyric One4Five and the boy group that was put together. The white rapper on Demi's team impressed me a lot too. LA's terrible attitude and hissy fit about being given the over's really turned me off to him. If I were on his team I would've been super offended by that. It would've taken a lot of restraint for me not to tell him that he was my last choice too.

I hope Lyric 45754 or whayever is eliminated quick because I can't handle that ridiculous bedazzled eyepatch. However it is pretty cool she is the ONLY person EVER to make it out of her town alive and not in jail. LA Reid, is a pathetic loser. He is the most irrelevant person on the panel and deserves the most irrelevant team. He is the also the only human to make more annoying faces than Britney Spears, always looks like he is smelling a ****. I know Scooter, he is a cool dude and should be a judge. Britney doesn't even know what is going on or where she is at, she needs to move to the middle of Montana and start her life over. Demi is surprisingly a great judge/mentor, probably the best on any of these singing competitions. Well besides maybe Blake Shelton. She would have been AMAZING on The Voice. The show does have a lot of really marketable talent though.
That young girl who went last tonight. Not sure of her name, but she is going to be a huge star one day. I never say that in these types of competitions, but her voice is sick! I have never heard anything like that from someone who is so young. Flawless.

Lyric145 is good. I can see big things coming from them.
Lyric 145 are going to be huge, I can feel it. Nobody wants to deal with an attitude in the music industry. I don't get all the L.A. hate though considering he contributed to a lot of musical sensations over the past 23+years while Britney, Simon and Demi (no offense since I love her though) haven't done a **** thing. However your Britney joke is absolutely funny. And The Voice sucks man. If Demi even remotely wanted to get on that show I would write her off. At least here she can RELATE to contestants who have/will have appeared in coming seasons.
I agree lyric 145 they are great,I dont like emblem 3 those guys think they are the next superstars or something too cocky. does anyone else think that the mentors are with the wrong judges? I mean it should have been: Britney- Bieber (if britney was going to mentor the teens it should have been a teen that was with her) Will.i.am-L.A (bc honestly I dont see how bieber is going to help L.A in that category is just messed up) the other two are good.

She's been a very pleasant surprise and is really stealing the show. I think it's kind of funny that last year Drew sang one of her songs and LA told her it was an old lady song, thankfully Paula corrected him.

You think Britney is alert and present.....? I feel bad for the people you hang around with if you consider her alert lol. Britney has a strong mental illness and it is very apparent. Her faces are rude and disrespectful but I don't think she means it. I think she is just trying to figure out where she is and how she got there. I was the biggest most dedicated Britney fan till X Factor it is soooo sad to see her current state and how she ended up.
I've got to say the Judge's Houses Episodes have totally changed my opinion of the show. I'm really enjoying it now. And, honestly I'm beginning to find The Voice somewhat boring in comparison. Maybe all the work that was put into making X-Factor's characters stand out paid off (even though it was done in some unfavorable ways). And, since the live show contestants are going to be revealed soon, I thought I'd give my opinion on who should go through and who I think will actually go through. Who I want: Young Adults CeCe Frey (I can't wait to see how she acts live based on how she'd been made a villain on the show) Paige Thomas Jillian Jensen Willie Jones (Nick was obviously bad and I don't think Jennel stands out that much) Groups Lyric 145 (Loved them; very original) Emblem 3 (The best original group) LYLAS (They did great. They could really go big) Playback (I don't like this group, but I find them humorous to watch, so I'd like to see them on a live show) (I find Sister C's harmonies horribly annoying and Dope Crisis got 15 seconds of air time. It's clear that they aren't getting through, anyway). Overs Tara Simon (Same reason as CeCe) Vino Alan Jason Brock David Correy (I care about this category as much as LA does. I want them to be the sacrificial lambs that can keep the other contestants going through the show.) Teens Diamond White (Her and Carly Rose will give some great performances) Carly Rose Sonenclare Beatrice Miller Arin Ray (The rapper wasn't very good or relevant in the show. Reed Deming was probably better than Arin, but I think Arin has more potential) Who I think the judges will choose: Young Adults CeCe Frey Paige Thomas Jennel Garcia (I dunno why, I just think Demi will choose her) Willie Jones Groups Same as above Overs Tara Simon Vino Alan Jason Brock Tate Stephens (To add some variety) Teens Diamond White (Her and Carly Rose will give some great performances) Carly Rose Sonenclare Beatrice Miller Reed Deming

Obviously we all know she has mental illness, that's no secret. Her faces imo are funny and I don't get how they're more disrespectful than the stuff Simon says? Demi, BTW also has mental illness, and has been very open about being diagnosed as bipolar and she's been great on the show.
You guys are incredible. I love this page. Lol. I don't care for Arin Ray either but like the country guy willie jones. If Cece makes it to the live shows she better change her attitude. Britneys facial expressions give me joy on a cloudy day too.
