Wow Khloe kicked *** tonight. Mario was his usual boring self. I miss Steve/Nicole already. Everybody tonight but Beatrice, the white country guy and emblem 3 were good.
They can't harmonize. They all sound like they have colds when they sing together.
and the kee-kee is they were singing to Demi, lmao.
Wow Khloe kicked *** tonight. Mario was his usual boring self. I miss Steve/Nicole already. Everybody tonight but Beatrice, the white country guy and emblem 3 were good.
Ha, woah, I think we have two opposite brains because I disagree with everything. I thought Khloe had a lot of hiccups and the times she tried to have some humor were awkward and uncomfortable. Mario, I felt, was professional and smart about the whole situation. Still, I think it's good to have both of them because it kind of balances things. I thought Beatrice, Tate Stevens and especially Emblem 3 were good. Emblem 3 seem like they'll easily be pretty popular. As for my thoughts on the first live show. Well, it made me look at the show differently (I went from being excited for the show, to disliking it, to liking it and now to appreciating it). I can tell that it's all about the commercial aspect, what's popular, what will sell. But, with that I felt that a some of the performers lost the vocalist aspect of music competition shows. I'm thinking a lot about Carly Rose here. She obviously is incredible and she tried to show her strength in singing in the song, but the song wasn't helping her and she wasn't being who she was. I want to see more simple performances: just a musician, a song, and their voice. I can actually see why the show took this direction, though. The winner from last year (Melanie Amaro) has went nowhere. I rooted for her and she's definitely talented, but her grand/big-voice singing isn't really as appreciated today. So, all in all, I'm fine with the show and I thought the acts did well (and I hope that some "stars" will emerge from the show).
What do you mean, she went nowhere? She's working on her debut. LOL.

My problem with X Factor is that it's missing a soul. It all seems robotic & staged. I feel no connection to the show or contestants (same as last year, except for Drew). I understand looking for a commercial artist, but Idol did it, and still associate itself with great vocalist (Kelly, Carrie, Jordin, Daughtry, Adam, etc). Idk I just don't feel the X-Factor...I'm never going to expect a Jessica Sanchez "And I am telling you" or Katherine McPhee "Over the rainbow" performance.
What do you mean, she went nowhere? She's working on her debut. LOL.
Her new songs aren't doing well and even the third placer, Chris Rene, has seen more success. I want a pure vocal performance. One of my favorite parts about these shows is seeing someone which a crazy-great voice and watching them succeed. Looking at the comments on YouTube, I can see that a lot of people share these same feelings. Everyone except Emblem 3 had a better vocal performance at Judge's Homes. It felt like one of those scenarios where an aspiring musician with their own style gets into a music agency and become manufactured and made to fit-in. I think that when I want some vocal chops, I'll have to turn to The Voice.
For me these shows are about entertainment, not having amazing powerhouse singers. Last year Idol had two crazy good singers, Josh and Jessica, but it got boring hearing them do the same ballad every week. I'd rather have a really good show with good vocals than a boring show with stellar vocals. X Factor isn't really about the great singing, it's about who has the 'X Factor' to make it in the industry. The top artists today aren't all the best vocalists, but they all have that 'X Factor' that makes people want to listen to their music and buy their CDs.

Also, do you forget who founded EVERYONE That you just named? His name is Simon and he has a new show called the X factor. You can't compare it to American idol because this show is exactly that a show. American idol is based on the voice. However, I do have a feeling it will change this year because of the new judges.

I enjoy the show last night it was good, but Idk I hope the teens dont turn like robot singers theres so much talent there, specially carly she is pure talent.
I disagree. Save for 10-12 people across 3 seasons, the voice is just lame. Like how the hell did the hispanic guy make it over that one girl this week on Blake's team? Shenanigans.

Finding the performances way more entertaining tonight than yesterday. See how great it could be if it's just about the talent, and not crazy outfits & production.

It's comes to a point where it's annoying seeing 3 different shows doing the same ****. The X factor is original. If you want boring I would just wait for American idol in January :)
No way Jason Brock should've went through over David Correy
Same thing with Britney's decision to send home Diamond White, she should of stayed.
Same thing with Britney's decision to send home Diamond White, she should of stayed.
I'm with you on this one. I think the only reason she did send her home is because she wasn't as good as the other 2 girls in the category.
No way Jason Brock should've went through over David Correy
100% it was insane.
I agree. Diamond actually had what we called "vocals" what the heck, man.
Oh no!!! I like both sister C and lylas/1432 :(. Camilla from the girl group is honestly amazing and should have made it through a solo artist.
Sister c seems very stuck up to me. I don't think America will vote for them to stay. I really hope 1432 stays. The way tonight is going I'm sure Simon will keep sister C.
Sister C was actually good but I feel and no offense they should try gospel/christian music.
1432 is changing their name? Wow. And Lylas is good but is Bruno's sister even relevant?
Thank god they are coming up with a new name. They couldn't keep their original LYLAS because of copyright issues or something.
1432 is changing their name? Wow. And Lylas is good but is Bruno's sister even relevant?
I don't think so. I had no idea who they were before this naming controversy. On the results, I see that I need to change my mindset about this show. Here's what I wanted (in order): Young Adults: Jennel, Paige, CeCe (Willie goes home. I think he's awesome, but the performances he could excel in wouldn't be accepted on this show) Overs: Tate, David, Jason/Vino (I liked the latter 3 and found Tate boring, but I can't deny that he actually sang well. Jason and Vino can both sing, but they weren't given the right songs) Teens: Carly, Diamond, Beatrice (Arin goes home. He's probably the worst singer in the competition.) Groups: Emblem3, Sister C, 1432 (Lyric 145. I actually liked them, but I thought their performance was all over the place and I actually want to see them rap. Astro could do it last year and he was amazing at it) So, of course, the things I wanted didn't really work out. I'm most sour about the Teens, though. I thought it was clear that Diamond won the survival songs. Arin sang horribly off key at the end of his song, but Diamond kept it steady the whole way through. This is where my mindset needs to change. Who is more commercial, who is more generally appealing? Diamond would have went straight to Disney, but Arin could maybe be another Bieber. I'm okay with this show's direction, it's just that it was surprising because it's not the direction they went in last year. I wanted more of this: Rachel Crow - Top 11 - THE X FACTOR USA 2011 - YouTube Melanie Amaro - Top 7 - THE X FACTOR USA 2011 - YouTube And less of this: CeCe Frey: Pop Star - THE X FACTOR USA 2012 - YouTube Lyric145 Goes Gangnam Style - THE X FACTOR USA 2012 - YouTube I would be off-the-wall happy if there was a some sort of "Wildcard" show, where they bring back people for one last chance to be in the live shows.
Diamond could of been a great contender for Britney's team she had a nice voice 'vocals' and could of been commercial what the show is looking for. BAD choice. LA Reid also made a bad choice on keeping the country guy and the tattooed guy over the other two. I'm team Demi.
DIAMOND IS BACK! I'm ecstatic, I am seriously rooting for her.
Simon made a great decision with Demi. She might be the best judge on all of these talent shows. I feel strange saying that, but it's true.
DIAMOND IS BACK! I'm ecstatic, I am seriously rooting for her.
I'm happy she is back, but I really think they shoulda let America vote on which one of the 4 came back. It was unfair the way they did it.
Simon made a great decision with Demi. She might be the best judge on all of these talent shows. I feel strange saying that, but it's true.
Yeah seems that the teenager is britney and the adult is demi.
Yeah seems that the teenager is britney and the adult is demi.
Yes that's for sure, but I can see that Britney is warming up. At least she isn't saying the same thing over and over again like she did last week.
