So here are the overall season ratings for The Ruins to now. I will do an update once Free Agents is over but for now I just included the 9 episodes added.
Fresh Meat II: 976,000
What? I have 1,189,000 average for Fresh Meat 2. Where are you getting the numbers?

I got the ratings numbers for wiki. I did it 3 times and got that number.
So here are the overall season ratings for The Ruins to now. I will do an update once Free Agents is over but for now I just included the 9 episodes added.
This is the edited post because FM II didn't do less than a million I made a mistake and double checked everything.
The Ruins: 1,615,200
Fresh Meat II: 1,190,000
Cutthroat: 1,318,900
Rivals: 1,818,000
Battle of the Exes: 1,937,000
Battle of the Seasons: 1,090,000
Rivals II: 1,470,000
Free Agents: (so far with just 9 episodes) 1,025,000
So in order from highest rated to lowest (I won't include Free Agents yet) is
1. Battle of the Exes
2. Rivals
3. The Ruins
4. Rivals II
5. Cutthroat
6. Fresh Meat II
7. Battle of the Seasons
My prediction is Free Agents will either beat BOTS or do worse but not by much in either cases.
I couldn't find all the ratings for the Duel 2 but I think the ratings were not up there with The Ruins but maybe Cutthroat.
Yikes... I didn't think Free Agents was doing that badly, but when put up against the other seasons, it's kind of sad. At least, it's a better situation than with Seasons. Seasons achieved achieved abysmal ratings when a lot of other MTV shows were hitting several million viewers, whereas at least with FA, the whole network is doing poorly in ratings.
I'm not Surprised. That challenge was Boring and Mediocre. It deserved the bad ratings it got.
I know, it was cringeworthy, but I thought that Free Agents was the lowest season of the franchise.
We shouldn't be comparing Free Agents with other seasons, but instead with other shows from MTV, and right now Free Agents is not doing bad for MTV. The ratings for the network overall are down.
Battle of the Seasons had the lowest ratings, appropriately so. What a dreadfully awful season. It's like that one party that went horribly wrong that you want to forget ever happened.

Fresh meat 2 did poorly compared to shows airing at that time since jersey shore back then was pulling 3.0 millions and Teen mom on his high too, which in that case it was horrible.
The highest rated shows from The Ruins - Seasons 2 back then were pulling 3.5- 4.5 millions viewers... While the highest show airing right now is pulling 1.5 which is not that far from Free agents.
The network as a whole is doing poorly. Free Agents ratings are consider ''descent" for MTV standard right now. Most importantly it's an stable show.

No we should be doing both. Even though Free Agents is doing okay compared to other shows on MTV, it needs to be doing better. Do you know how good Free Agents and The Challenge as a whole would look right now if it was pulling Rivals II ratings. It would be the number one show if not number 2 but going head to head with Catfish week to week.
Also, shows are suppose to grow in fan base season to season or at least stay that same because that keeps it renewed. Free Agents has declined from Rivals II ratings. Its sad too because BMP was getting somewhere with Cutthroat, Rivals, and Exes- the ratings were only getting higher and then they plummeted with Seasons and Rivals II bought it back to life and Free Agents has bought it back down.
Tbh if next season and here on out can bring Rivals II ratings the show will be okay because considering the network ratings are down The Challenge like I said would stand apart in a good way but Exes ratings are EVEN BETTER LOL.
Rivals really was the panacea for ratings when it came out. It has smashed everything in recent challenge history especially after Fresh Meat and Cutthroat. It sucks that freaking exes was the highest rated though, I thought exes was lame. My least favorite of all the shows listed. In fact, id rank enjoyability for me at the time of watching them as...
1. Rivals
2. Cutthroat
3. Fresh Meat II
4. Free Agents
5. Rivals II
6. Battle of the Seasons (I was HYPED to see Alton return, disappointed in his mentality that season though)
7. The Ruins
8. Battle of the Exes
Its interesting that exes ratings were so good because most people here hated exes
Right most people here hated Exes yet like Free Agents....
Free agents is MUCH better IMO, the missions are better, the eliminations aside from wreaking wall are better but the girl cast isn't better.
Not to me
I loved Exes. I mean I have watched that season at least like once a month, I was even watching it last night. It was so good. The missions were better, cast was good, theme was great, the eliminations were okay. Its the only season besides Rivals II that is on MTV.com lol

I disagree about the missions, way to much water ones, Feel the burn Race to the alter and lube me up were the only good missions from exes. Free agents had out on a ledge, piggy back, dug out, bounce out and sausage party that were good IMO

The Island still works on MTV.com too lol

I only liked Piggy back and the ledge.
All the Exes ones had good names that related to theme which was never done before and they were sooooo creative Give Me Some Honey, Rolling In The Deep, Race To The Alter, Feel The Burn, Lube Me Up, Hooked Up.
But agree to disagree.
Exes was the last Challenge to truly have an old-school cast on it. Mark, CT, Abram, Rachel, Aneesa, Robin. A throwback to the good old days.
That actually was one of the worst things about it IMO.
That actually was one of the worst things about it IMO.
Honestly, in my opinion, besides CT and Diem, it was the only thing that made it bearable.
C'mon, let's not pretend Exes didn't succeed in ratings because of the CT and Diem love story. All my friends were so invested in that. As much as the hardcore viewers love Rachel/Aneesa and as much as BMP wanted Paula/Dunbar to be a thing... everyone I know was always tweeting and talking about CT and Diem.

I mean they defiantly made some episodes of the show but not all. I think there were some other teams and story lines that made that challenge interesting and the success that is what.

Yep. That whole CT and Diem **** is why that challenge had good ratings. I mean what else was there?
The theme and name attracted viewers by itself...CT/Diem were the most popular exes there.
I will be shock if the next challenge is not Exes 2 or some variation of it. Even a theme similar to it.

Especially when they're pretty much two of the most popular competitors in Challenge history. Not to say Twitter completely matters, but both of them have the most followers out of anyone -- I think Diem has the most.
