The Challenge: Unpopular Opinions

Speaking of Rivals 2, it really annoyed me how the females didn't get an overly physical elimination round. Last Chance with Camila/Jemmye vs. Aneesa/Diem would have been pretty good with two physical girls.

I think Brad is HIGHLY overrated. He performed well on BOTS2 but he's been middle of the pack every season since. No elimination wins until his fourth challenge and he beat Big Easy and DQed into a win against CT. He was better than Wes in that final, granted but he won one challenge that season (the derby) which, according to Evan, there was some shady business on. Not a standout on Gauntlet III, doesn't win a single challenge on the Duel II despite typically having the second best female athlete there as a partner, and makes it to the final again off of BS and then manages to lose a HUGE lead. Ruins and Cutthroat speak for themselves.

Decent guy, but again, hightly overrated.

the difference in performance between brad and the other three leaders derrick/abe/johnny on cutthroat was just astounding. i never considered brad to be on derrick or abe's level but some people did...hopefully cutthroat convincied them otherwise

I agree, that would have been good.

This thread with all the tori and brad hate is aweome. people finally start to see how disgusting those two truly are as human beings.

Don't know if it's really unpopular, but I think that Frank NEEDS to be the future of the Challenge.

He is great physically and politically. He's also one of the few who gets a reaction out of everybody.

I personally like the guy. I think he's smart.

Eh. I like Brad but I agree that he isn't all that in terms of competition.

Here is an unpopular opinion, I absolutely love Brad and do think he is a good guy.

Agree. I think most people thought Derrick and Abe were better...but they were willing to at least put him in that conversation and I'm sure most thought that he was better than Johnny. After watching hopefully everyone realizes that he's nowhere near any of those three...I'd bet on all of them in any of the eliminations that season over Brad. The fact that he was terrified to go one on one with Abe in Riot Act was telling.

To be clear though, I don't think he's a bad person. Same for Tori. Everyone has character flaws...being kind of a ***** or kind of a wimp doesn't make you a bad person. He seems to mean well, for the most part.

unpopular opinion: the Ruins was a great challenge honestly. IMO i believe the Ruins had the best eliminations, for the reason most of them could have been anyone's game. except for the one Johnny Bananas vs Dunbar Meril, but even then a great matchup. The second best eliminations would be from Cutthroat.

I agree that on paper, from a competition standpoint, the Ruins should've been one of the best challenges. The day challenges probably had some of the best variety among later seasons (up there with Cutthroat, Rivals 2 and Free Agents) and aside from the Infernos I don't think any other challenge has had all different eliminations. It just sucks that they couldn't put together a more competent challenger team. If you had subbed out Nick Brown, Shauvon and Casey for say CT, Paula and Jenn the game would've been way different. Unfortunately CT was probably the only elite guy that had never won a challenge at that point so the men's side was always going to be screwed.

Honesty if those three were on that challene I don't think it would've been any different. I can see Paula and Jenn having an alliance with the other team like Brad did and screwing their own team.

But they wouldn't have reason to. If they went to a final with CT, Brad, Paula, Jenn, Kellyanne and Sarah they probably could've won. Brad only made the deal because he looked at his team, thought they all sucked and would've rather at least made it to the end with some money than get called out and sent home with nothing. Those four girls could've beaten any champion girl besides Evelyn and MAYBE Susie depending on the game.

CT/Paula/Sarah could've been great but Jenn and Kellyanne? Nope. Don't see it.

LMAO Brad is hardly a disgusting human being.  I'd be willing to be Tori is not a disgusting human being as well but she wasn't portrayed in a good light on these shows.

The Ruins is probably one of my favorite seasons.  Although it went downhill about 2/3 through.

I loved the Ruins eliminations because it was different every time. All were great except for the Muay Thai one with Casey & Susie. Also, one of the best female elimination rounds happened there (Kimberly vs. Susie). I didn't like Cutthroat elimination because it was 75% physical. The only elimination round that didn't involve physical contact was Die Hard. Duel 2 had the most diverse elimination rounds (Back Off & Push Over - Physical, Spot On - Mental, Elevator - Endurance, Duel Pole Dancing - Strength)

I actually feel bad for Brad, because he's actually a great competitior. I just don't like Tori. I do agree, Brad played a shady *** game on Cutthroat. But here's why I agree with Brad about Brandon. Brandon stated that he wasn't an endurance/cardio person. We know that the final is 75% cardio/25% mental. Why would you have someone on the team that can pull a Big Easy a la Gauntlet 3? Also, you never played with him before so you don't know how he is in a finale. The only problem I had with Brad was how he treated Camila. He knew she was the best female on the team and still treated her like shit. She was better than Tori, Paula and Melinda. Camila shot herself in the foot by telling Brad that she voted for him. That was just dumb. Also, Paula was dumb that season too. If I was Paula, I would have taken Tyler, Camilia and Brandon and aligned with them to take out the couple. Dunbar was up their *** s if Brad and Tori was gone, you could have thrown in the others to make the final. Even though we hate Tori (which trust me I do), I came to realized that she played the damn game just like JEK did in the Ruins.

Well to be fair she really didn't belong on the show regardless if she was good or not so I think that's justified.

I agree, that would have been good.

Aneesa & Diem would have killed Camila and Jemmye IMO. There was no way Camila & Jemmye could defend against Aneesa. The only way Aneesa would have lost is if Diem slipped up

You should reread this thread. Brad is a disgraceful man to this challenge IMO. and its her own fault if she wasn't protrayed in a positive light.

Besides Cutthroat and maybe Duel 2, what other instances has Brad shown himself to be disgraceful? Gauntlet 3 he was worried about Big Easy's health over the prize money.

I don't have to re-read shit.  This is a reality tv show with a lot of editing to produce the desired storylines.

But yes, you are entitled to you opinion.

Um no. That's not what I said at all. Don't make it into something it isn't. Camilla never appeared on The Real World or Road Rules. Therefore she has no buisness on this show and was a waste of a spot.

Camila is not wasting a spot when she is a good competitor & gives her all every time she is on the show. At this point your rants over Non Cast Members is boring & over the top. Can you really not think of one other opinion or thought about this show besides your disgust for who you perceive as non cast members??

Plus it's not her fault nor any FM'ers fault or even AYTO's (even though I agree that they shouldn't be there), If I got a call to do a challenge I'll definitely do it so I don't blame any of them for coming

I get what you're saying but we have to now know that this is not Real World/Road Rules Challenge anymore. We have to wait and see what the non-RW/RR people have to bring to the table. With that said, Camila was their best female on the Red Team. This is why I was rooting for the Blue Team that season. They went based on performance rather than who they don't like (Red/sometimes Grey). But devil's advocate, Brad and Tori are married. Brad was thinking "hey, if my wife is still here, that's more money in our bank". That's the only reason why he kept Tori along. MTV also knew that this was probably Brad's last hurrah. That's why they wanted to destroy Blue Team's chances of winning (CT vs. Bananas) because they knew if they had Derrick & Bananas with Jenn & Emily, Blue would have crushed Red.

I like Camila as a compeititor, not her personality.

The Ruins when he made deals with JEK and when he attacked Darrell. Also a lot of people like Bananas stated how hes fake and was annoying. And he tried to act all macho with that Atomic wedgie from the Miz, it was on the Inferno 2 if i remember.
